Szoke has a history of standing up for the rights of others. Prior to joining Oxfam in 2013 she served as Australia’s Federal Race Discrimination Commissioner and as the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner. She is considered a leading thinker and advocate for foreign aid and international development, human rights, and discrimination. With a string of awards, degrees and sitting on multiple Boards, Szoke is one of the biggest names in Australia’s foreign aid community.
