2015 Winner

Craig Comrie

CEO, Youth Affairs Council of WA

Comrie became CEO of the Youth Affairs Council of WA, a position he has held for the past five years, when he was just 26-years-old. He is a champion for human rights, seeking to address the exclusion of young people in a rapidly changing society.

A graduate of Harvard University’s Not for Profit Leadership Program, Comrie is also the Chair of the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition. Comrie’s leadership was tested when the 2014 Federal Budget revealed that the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition would lose its government funding.

The Coalition managed to survive and remains the independent national peak body for youth affairs.

“Craig has worked as a tireless advocate for young people and the disadvantaged for his entire career and deserves to be recognised for his contribution to the social services sector.”
