Martin Pritchard

Martin has been leading Environs Kimberley (EK) in safeguarding the Kimberley’s natural environment for over 10 years. Under his leadership, EK was instrumental in protecting the coastline near Walmadany/James Price Point from a proposed onshore gas processing plant, which would have been the second-largest in the world.
Martin has shown great tenacity in campaigning against such threats to the region as landclearing for broadscale irrigated agriculture, damming rivers, and fracking for fossil fuels. Environs Kimberley has grown significantly during Martin's leadership, and now has a natural resources management arm, whose staff work alongside local Aboriginal ranger groups to manage and protect country.
